Snub for Obamas as Royal sources reveal they will not be invited to Prince William's wedding

President Obama and his wife Michelle will not be invited to Prince William's wedding next year.
Because Prince William is not yet heir to the throne, his wedding to Kate Middleton is not classed as a ‘state occasion’ – and the couple feel under no pressure to fill the 2,000-strong guest list with heads of state, the Mail understands.
They are more eager to ask ordinary citizens and charity workers than foreign dignitaries and VIPs to what will be the first royal ‘people’s wedding’, courtiers suggested.
A handful of heads of state are likely to be invited in line with previous royal weddings, possibly including France’s President Nicolas Sarkozy and his wife Carla Bruni.

But the decision to exclude the American premier and his wife Michelle from the celebrations marks a break from tradition.

Prince Charles and Princess Diana invited then-American president Ronald Reagan and his wife Nancy to their 1981 ceremony – though she came alone because the president was too ill to travel following an assassination attempt on him.

A senior courtier said: ‘It is certainly not the case that all foreign heads of state will be excluded. The guest list is still being drawn up and could change, but as things stand it’s right (to say Mr Obama will not be invited).’

Egypt riots not just about economy

They rioted in Tunisia and now they’re rioting Egypt. They’re burning buildings, taking to the streets and calling for a new regime. It’s the match being held to the fuse. The violence could escalate (they’re already calling it a war zone) and lives could certainly be lost, but it’s time to let Egypt burn.
My colleague, Clement Daly, argues these uprisings in Egypt, Tunisia, and elsewhere in the Middle East are the product of an unhappy working class ready to ditch capitalism in favor of socialism.

An element of that exists in these protests, but isn’t the story being written. These uprisings started because of poor economic conditions, rising food prices and high unemployment, which is why Mr. Daly’s assessment holds some water, but it isn’t how they’re going to end.
Call it naïve or idealist, or even downright impossible, but this really looks like the liberalization of the Middle East.

This isn’t a critique of capitalism; it’s a critique of oppressive rulers. The people are rising against administrations, some of which the United States supported. But as anyone could tell you, we haven’t always backed the right horse.
Let’s not make the same mistake this time. Let them rise up; let them upset the balance of power and the Middle Eastern status quo. This is going to end as a political revolution, not an economic one. We shouldn’t be on the wrong side of this.
We need to let Egypt burn. Flames engulfed the ruling party headquarters that was reduced to ruins, a site many experts couldn’t believe. The power is slipping away from the regime in a pretty amazing way.
This might be it. Again, it sounds crazy just to say that, but we don’t always hear the bullet coming. This feels like democracy.
By the time you read this, Egypt might have repressed the demonstrators. Or the demonstrators might have taken the upper hand. It wouldn’t surprise anyone if the Egyptian leaders quelled the rebellion; certainly it’s happened in the Middle East.
But what if they can’t? What if this uprising is the turning point? What if we finally see a political revolution in the Middle East ending in a western-style democracy?
It’s idealistic, but it’s possible. Maybe even likely. We should stand with them and let this unfold.
Even if the Egyptian leaders put down this rebellion, their days are numbered. You can’t keep a people down forever, they will rise up. They will eventually cry out for political freedoms and rights. The world is getting smaller, you can’t keep a people from wanting to be free for very long.
The ideas spread too quickly for that. Egypt had to shut down Internet access just to maintain its grip. In a world of social networking, smart phones and the democratization of communication, dictators won’t be able to hold on as long as before.
Examples of freedom are too abundant. Too readily available. The oppressed people of the world cannot be kept in the dark forever. They will see the light of day; it’s only a matter of time.
So while you may see these uprisings as economic, to this columnist, they look awfully political. They might have started with food prices, but they’re going to end with freedom of the press. It might take another week or it might take another decade, but those freedoms are coming to the Middle East. Iraq isn’t a perfect democracy, but it’s freer than was 10 years ago. Imagine what Egypt or Tunisia could be like if the governments were overthrown completely from within.
Again, it might seem farfetched. It might seem ridiculous to think the Middle East is on the verge of a democratic revolution. But the world is getting smaller, and the ideas are getting bigger.
Let’s believe this is the moment of change. The uprisings in Egypt are the match being held to the fuse, and it’s time to let Egypt burn.

Tut Family Mummies Damaged in Egypt Riots?

The mummies of King Tutankhamun’s great-grandparents might have had their heads ripped off as a result of the recent turmoil in Egypt, according to reports beginning to circulate on the Internet. Dramatic Al Jazeera footage suggests that the two  mummies vandalized at the Egyptian museum might be those of Yuya and Tjuya, which recent DNA tests identified as King Tut's great-grandparents.
Indeed, the gilded, open-work cartonnage case shown on Al Jazeera belongs to Tjuya, according to Margaret Maitland, a D.Phil. candidate in Egyptology at the University of Oxford.
“The case was placed directly on Tjuya’s body, so it is doubtful that it could have been removed without damaging her mummy. This suggests that the two mummies mentioned by Dr. Zahi Hawass as being beheaded and severely damaged may be those of Yuya and Tjuya. They are important historical figures, as well as two of the best preserved mummies from ancient Egypt, so it would indeed be tragic if this is true,” Maitland writes in her blog.
The Al Jazeera footage also shows that wooden statues from the tomb of King Tutankhamun have been smashed.
Much destruction appears to have been dealt a wooden boat that Maitland identified as coming from the tomb of Meseti at Asyut.

“It’s one of the largest model boats in existence and it dates to approximately 2000 B.C., so over it’s 4,000 years old. Very sad,” said Maitland.

Russian Antarctica Team Poised to Reach the 14-Million Year Old Waters of Lake Vostok -a Prehistoric Laboratory

A Russian science team is poised to reach the virgin 14 million year old depths of ice-bound Lake Vostok, an unexplored lake in Antarctica. Russian scientists are drilling down to the oxygen-rich lake at the rate of four meters a day, which is buried beneath a sheet of ice almost four kilometers thick, and extract water samples for analysis. If extreme life is found in the lake, this would have implications for the possibilities of life on Jupiter’s moon Europa or Saturn’s satellite Enceladus, both of which host a similar environment.

Lake Vostok is approximately 250 kilometers long and up to 50 kilometers wide (around the size of Lake Ontario in North America), and is up to 800 meters deep. It is isolated from all the other 145 or so subglacial lakes in Antarctica. The lake has been sealed off from the rest of the world by the ice sheet for the past 14 million years. Earlier plans to drill into the lake were squashed by the Antarctic Treaty Secretariat (ATS) because of concerns the lake might become contaminated. A team of astrobiologists from NASA concluded in 2003 that such an exploration could be dangerous and lead to contamination because the high oxygen and nitrogen content of the lake would cause the water to “fizz up” like a shaken soda can. Now, the ATS has approved the environmental evaluation for the new attempt by scientists from the Arctic and Antarctic Research Institute (AARI) in St. Petersburg.
AARI spokesman Valery Lukin, Director of the Russian Antarctic Expedition (RAE), said they have invented a way of sampling the lake without the risk of contamination. When the drill reaches the lake, the water pressure will “push the working body and drilling fluid upwards in the borehole,” where it will freeze. The researchers will then return during the next Antarctic summer to remove the frozen water for analysis.

Lake Vostok is supersaturated with oxygen, with levels estimated to be around 50 times greater than an average freshwater lake. Lukin said the researchers hope to find live organisms in the lake, particularly in the mineralized water near the bottom. If life does exist there, the organisms would be “extremophiles,” with many adaptations to allow them to survive.
The Russian team are unsure when their drill will break through because the exact depth of the ice/water boundary is not known, but hope they will reach the water later this month and before the current Antarctic summer season ends. Their borehole is currently 3650 meters deep, which is estimated to be approximately 100 meters above the lake surface. The next stages will use a mechanical drill and kerosene freon to get down to 3725 meters, and a new thermal drill head with a clean silicon-oil fluid to drill the rest of the way. The thermal drill head will be fitted with a camera.
"Lake Vostok is an international treasure. We have to convince not just the scientific community but the entire world that we can do this without contaminating the lake," says Karl Erb, director of the NSF Office of Polar Programs.

At the very edge of the Antarctic ice horizon — is a scattering of snow-drifted buildings and radio towers known as Vostok Station--a Russian scientific outpost on the ice above ancient Lake Vostok that researchers have manned almost continuously for 40 years.

Because of the long isolation, it's believed that Lake Vostok could contain new lifeforms, and unique geochemical processes. The overlying ice provides a continuous paleo-climatic record of 400,000 years, although the lake water itself may have been isolated for as long as 15 million years.

Russian researchers have thawed ice estimated to be perhaps a million years old or more from above the ancient lake that lies hidden more than two miles beneath the frozen surface of Antarctica. Scientists will use genomic techniques to determine how tiny, living "time capsules" survived the ages in total darkness, in freezing cold, and without food and energy from the sun.

A major issue is the reality that it is impossible to penetrate an isolated ecosystem without contaminating it. The "Catch 22" inherent in exploring Lake Vostok is that the very thing that make it potentially unique: because of its millennia of isolation from the rest of the world, it cannot be explored without introduction of microbes from the outer world.

Obama Makes Fun of TSA Sexual Molestation During State of the Union

During his State of the Union Address, while stating the government needs to steal more money from citizens to build a high-speed rail system, Obama mentioned TSA grope-downs. “For some trips,” Obama recited from his teleprompter screen, “it will be faster than flying… without the pat down.”

Joe Biden and Nancy Pelosi thought this comment was funny. For most traveling Americans, however, the humiliation of TSA goons grabbing their junk is anything but funny – it is akin to sexual molestation.
Obama and the political class, of course, are not required to surrender their dignity to the TSA and that is why they make jokes about what the rest of us must endure if we want to travel by air.
“Only Congressional leaders or members of Congress with armed security details are allowed to go around security. The same privilege is afforded to governors and cabinet members if they are escorted by agents or law enforcement officers,” the New York Times reported in November.
Michael Steel, a spokesman for incoming Speaker of the House John Boehner, said security procedures for members of Congress are determined by Capitol Hill Police and the TSA.
Also in November, Secretary of State Clinton told Bob Schieffer of CBS intrusive procedures will continue. She said terrorists are becoming more creative and cited as an example the so-called underwear bomber, the mental deficient patsy Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab who is linked to intelligence agencies and supposed al-Qaeda mastermind and Pentagon dinner guest Anwar al-Awlaki.
For Obama and Congress, the fact that airports are now police state zones where citizens are stripped of their constitutional rights and are subjected to sexual humiliation is a joke. Joe Biden can laugh it up because he will never face the prospect of a TSA goon grabbing his private parts. Nancy Pelosi will never have her breasts exposed at the departure gate by the TSA like a woman from Texas did in 2008.
It is another example of the contempt our rulers have for us. That Obama would make a joke out of the sexual molestation of children and senior citizens in wheelchairs is evidence enough that the establishment political class is not concerned about our welfare. It is also additional evidence the government will continue to use the pretext of manufactured terrorism to deprive us of all our rights.
Finally, Obama’s claim that trains will be free of TSA goons in blue latex gloves appears to be at odds with reality. In July of 2010, John Pistole, former FBI deputy director and current TSA administrator, said his agency plans to expand into rail in the future. Members of Congress, including House Homeland Security Committee Chairman Bennie Thompson, a Mississippi Democrat, have pressed the TSA to put more money into mass-transit security.

News that an alleged suicide bomber killed 31 people and injured over a hundred after an explosion at Russia’s biggest airport is sure to provide the establishment media and governments in the west with more grist through which to sell their fearmongering agenda, when in reality, Americans are just as likely to be killed by peanut allergies, accident-causing deer, and lightning strikes than they are by terrorists.
Roughly the same number as those unfortunately killed in today’s suicide bombing will die on America’s roads today, as well as tomorrow and in fact every day of the year – an average of 115 Americans are killed in car accidents daily, about one every 13 minutes, but you will never see it make the national headlines never mind gain global attention.
And why is that? Because every time we climb into our cars we subconsciously accept the price of freedom – which is the chance of being injured or killed. We take the same gamble every time we board an airplane, cascade down a ski slope or go up in a hot air balloon. We do so because the benefits of being a free human being are infinitely more rewarding than living in constant fear and demanding omnipresent “security,” which is never achievable anyway.
Despite the constant drumbeat of establishment fearmongering about the imminent threat of terrorist attacks, the likelihood of actually being a victim of one is infinitesimally small, and only highlights how such threats are hyperbolically exaggerated for political purposes.
To equal the danger that Americans place themselves in every day by driving their car down the highway, there would have to be a September 11 every month. To reach the same level of risk that one undertakes in boarding an airline, you only have to travel eleven miles in a car.
“Until 2001, far fewer Americans were killed in any grouping of years by all forms of international terrorism than were killed by lightning, and almost none of those terrorist deaths occurred within the United States itself. Even with the September 11 attacks included in the count, the number of Americans killed by international terrorism since the late 1960s (which is when the State Department began counting) is about the same as the number of Americans killed over the same period by lightning, accident-causing deer, or severe allergic reaction to peanuts,” writes Ohio University’s John Mueller in a report entitled A False Sense Of Insecurity.
“For all the attention it evokes, terrorism actually causes rather little damage and the likelihood that any individual will become a victim in most places is microscopic,” concludes Mueller.
Which is precisely why Homeland Security’s gradual takeover of American society and its attempt to make citizens spy on each other in the name of preventing terrorism has nothing to do with providing some phantom sense of “security” and everything to do with indoctrinating the slaves to maintain complete obedience to their would-be slave masters.
This is about eviscerating constitutional rights by characterizing the exercise of those rights to dissent against the state as an abnormal behavior. This is not our claim – the DHS’ own internal documents list Ron Paul supporters, gun owners, gold bullion enthusiasts, and a myriad of other banal political interests as possible extremism and/or terrorism.
In addition, the US State Department defines the right to peaceably assemble and protest as “low-level terrorism”.
The fact that genuine acts of terror pose a miniscule level of real-world threat to Americans is known and fully understood by the likes of Homeland Security and the State Department. The fact that such agencies are now more concerned with persecuting politically-active Americans as terrorists explains the true intention behind programs like “See Something, Say Something,” which is firmly focused around chilling the 1st Amendment by creating a climate of constant fear and mistrust.

America is in peril, the United States is being occupied as Homeland Security launches a total takeover of society and attempts to indoctrinate an army of citizen spies as the country accelerates its slide into banana republic despotism. Americans who can see what is unfolding feel helpless, powerless and overawed by the clear evisceration of their freedoms. The time has come for a massive campaign of powerful, symbolic, peaceful resistance.
The Department of Homeland Security has released a trio of chilling PSA video clips in which ordinary everyday activities are characterized as signs of potential terrorism, with the public being indoctrinated to assume the role of domestic spies reporting on their friends and neighbors as America sinks deeper into a decaying police state.
DHS will no longer be limited to the airport in the form of the TSA, but will become a ubiquitous entity policing everyone through a network of citizen spies and infrastructure security technology. The agency will also assume the mantle of regulating Americans’ every behavior and activity.
In wartime France, the victims of the Nazi occupation could see who their oppressors were, in 21st century America we’re not yet being policed 24/7 by black boot wearing stormtroopers, but perhaps something even more insidious – each other. Homeland Security is training Americans to spy on their friends, neighbors and colleagues by making us obsessed with the fear of terror – using the very tactic of terrorists to chill the 1st Amendment, tear up the bill of rights, and intimidate Americans into accepting constant harassment, bag searches, body scans, interrogations, and suffocating security-theatre everywhere they go.
So why the V campaign? What is it and what will it achieve? It’s all about fighting back against the psychological warfare we are now being subjected to by our new would-be slavemasters. They like to remind us that they’re our bosses with their signs – report suspicious activity posters and video messages at Wal-Mart checkouts - terrorism tip line billboards – Homeland Security posters telling Americans where they can and can’t park their car – using symbols, slogans and messages to herd the sheep and elicit their obedience is obviously a very important component of any authoritarian regime – so why not fight back with our own symbols, slogans and messages?
The Obama Joker poster campaign attracted massive attention and was a huge success in creating an underground buzz of resistance. The V for Victory campaign is based on the same basic idea.
We need to tell them who we are and that we’re not their slaves. This in turn will encourage others to feel secure in the knowledge that there are Americans who are working to protect freedom of speech and the right to criticize government without being treated as a terrorist, and that Homeland Security’s constant hyped fearmongering about non-existent terror threats is nothing more than an act of psychological warfare to make Americans shut up, mute their dissent, and follow orders like good little children.

From VIPR teams that now patrol Amtrak’s Northeast Corridor and Los Angeles rail lines; ferries in Washington state; bus stations in Houston; and mass transit systems in Atlanta, Philadelphia, Washington and Baltimore, to invasive pat downs at bus and train terminals and on street corners across the country, to radiation-emitting naked body scanners that roam the highways scanning vehicles and homes, to interrogation checkpoints at sporting and other public events, Big Sis is engaged in a total takeover of society, turning America into a giant prison grid where everyone is guilty until proven innocent and treated as a potential terrorist.
Show me a case in history where the government recruiting the citizens to spy on each other led to a more secure, happy, free and prosperous society and I’ll show you a chicken with teeth. The best possible outcome, as in East Germany, was a despotic society in which free speech was silenced and political dissidents were imprisoned. The usual outcome, as in Stalinist Russia or Nazi Germany – was outright tyranny and death camps. Neither have any place in America.
Homeland Security is now trying to mimic the way of all oppressive regimes, by turning the American people against each other. Their agenda is public – DHS’ own documents clearly state that they consider libertarians, Ron Paul supporters, constitutionalists, gun owners and virtually any political activism as extremism and possible terrorism. As we have seen from a myriad of reports put out by the DHS and threat fusion centers across the country – the primary targets of Homeland Security in their campaign to have everyone treated with suspicion are people who know their rights and people who dare to exercise their freedoms.
This has nothing to do with any genuine terror threat. Americans are being coerced into living in constant fear of terror, when in reality they are more likely to die from peanut allergies, lightning strikes, or accident-causing deer than terrorist attacks.
We need to invoke the spirit of the French who were occupied by the Nazis in World War Two. The V for victory campaign in Paris and elsewhere helped the occupied to understand that the resistance against tyranny was legion. It gave the victims hope that they were not isolated and that their community was bonded in freedom, reducing fear that they would be reported to the authorities by collaborators as a subversive or terrorist for expressing dissent against their occupiers.
To encourage more people to participate in this outreach, we are incorporating it into our, “The Answer to 1984 is 1776″ campaign, and offering $7,000 dollars for the winner who posts the best video on You Tube. Second place will win $2,000, 3rd place wins $1,000. Use the V for Victory flyers we have provided to let Big Sis know that we are not her slaves. Use them on banner hangs or as stand alone flyers, post them on message boards or any places where announcements are made in your local community. Anywhere that’s legal and lawful, we want to see the V for victory proudly displayed as a symbolic message of resistance and defiance.

Hawaii governor can't find Obama birth certificate

Hawaii Gov. Neil Abercrombie suggested in an interview published today that a long-form, hospital-generated birthcertificate for Barack Obama may not exist within the vital records maintained by the Hawaii Department of Health.
Abercrombie told the Honolulu Star Advertiser he was searching within the Hawaii Department of Health to find definitive vital records that would prove Obamawas born in Hawaii, because the continuing eligibility controversy could hurt the president's chances of re-election in 2012.
Donalyn Dela Cruz, Abercrombie's spokeswoman in Honolulu, ignored again yesterday another in a series of repeated requests made by WND for an interview with the governor.
Toward the end of the interview, the newspaper asked Abercrombie: "You stirred up quite a controversy with your comments regarding birthers and your plan to release more information regarding President Barack Obama's birth certificate. How is that coming?"
In his response, Abercrombie acknowledged the birth certificate issue will have "political implications" for the next presidential election "that we simply cannot have."

This is not something I say lightly after reviewing this information and reinforcing the commentary from the Rangel rule which restricted and penalized voluntary emigration and/or renunciation of one’s citizenship from the United States.
If you can, even if it means a 75% loss of your fortunes, get out now.
If you have a universal skill set (Programmer, trader, medical skills, security skills, etc.) and can relocate with little resources, get out now.
If you have real estate holdings in certain nations (not Canada or Mexico) get out now.
The precursor to most major shifts within western civilization have always been the restrictions placed on the flow of capital. Without going off into woo-woo land on you, all I can say is that this is a warning shot that something major is about to occur which further restricts the freedoms of the citizens of this once great nation. When I did my radio show, I warned that this one event, a key moment or marker in any nation’s history was something to be taken deadly seriously. In my opinion it means that a currency realignment or change or outright revocation of rights taken for granted was certain with a 90 day, maybe if we’re lucky, 180 day window.

America, Let’s Face It: China Owns Us

The national debt has been making its way into the headlines a lot as of late. Much of this attention has been underscored by a grumbling, a recession-weary U.S. population forced to re-examine their spending habits even as the government maintains record federal deficits.

One of the latest news flashes to spark public concern is China’s continued dominance as the largest foreign holder of U.S. Treasury debt. According to the U.S. Treasury Department’s annual benchmark revisions, China’s holdings of U.S. Treasury securities stood at $894.8 billion at the end of December 2009, keeping it in its first place position followed by Japan which holds $768.8 billion.

Over the last year or so, there’s been a lot of brouhaha over China’s holdings, its “econo-political” maneuverings, and what this all means for the average American. But all of this is pretty complicated and abstract–especially for those of us who don’t hold a degree in economic policy.
So I set out to make China’s U.S. debt holdings somewhat more tangible. Here’s what I found:
China’s holdings as a percentage of national debt:

Our current national debt is approximately $12.557 trillion. Thus, China’s total treasury holdings represent 14% of America’s total debt obligations and 24.3% of total foreign ownership of U.S. Treasury Securities.

How the money we owe China compares to the federal budget:

Total estimated expenditures for FY 2010 came to $3.552 trillion; while total estimated revenues for FY 2010 were $2.381 trillion. That works out to 25% of total US expenditures and approximately 37.5% of total yearly revenues.

How much we owe China per capita?

The national debt has been making its way into the headlines a lot as of late. Much of this attention has been underscored by a grumbling, a recession-weary U.S. population forced to re-examine their spending habits even as the government maintains record federal deficits.

One of the latest news flashes to spark public concern is China’s continued dominance as the largest foreign holder of U.S. Treasury debt. According to the U.S. Treasury Department’s annual benchmark revisions, China’s holdings of U.S. Treasury securities stood at $894.8 billion at the end of December 2009, keeping it in its first place position followed by Japan which holds $768.8 billion.

Over the last year or so, there’s been a lot of brouhaha over China’s holdings, its “econo-political” maneuverings, and what this all means for the average American. But all of this is pretty complicated and abstract–especially for those of us who don’t hold a degree in economic policy.
So I set out to make China’s U.S. debt holdings somewhat more tangible. Here’s what I found:
China’s holdings as a percentage of national debt:

Our current national debt is approximately $12.557 trillion. Thus, China’s total treasury holdings represent 14% of America’s total debt obligations and 24.3% of total foreign ownership of U.S. Treasury Securities.

How the money we owe China compares to the federal budget:

Total estimated expenditures for FY 2010 came to $3.552 trillion; while total estimated revenues for FY 2010 were $2.381 trillion. That works out to 25% of total US expenditures and approximately 37.5% of total yearly revenues.

How much we owe China per capita?

Whistleblower’s home raided by armed Florida Dept. of Law Enforcement agents

 JASPER, FLORIDA – Robert “Bob” Burton is a deadhead logger in the Florida panhandle.  In the course of his business, he stumbled upon some illegal activities carried out by the Florida Department of Environmental Protection (DEP), including state employees dumping toxic waste in Florida water reclamation areas.
On Friday, Hamilton County sheriff’s deputies and Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE) agents, dressed in tactical gear and armed with assault rifles, served him with a search warrant.   Agents seized his computer, cell phone, and video camera.   However, Burton has not been charged with any crime.
He also reported that the DEP had seized a logger’s entire season harvest, even though the logger had the proper permits, and was violating no laws.  A judge later ruled that the logger in question had legally harvested the logs, valued at over $300,000, but the DEP has refused to return the logs.  He contends that public records regarding this case were intentionally destroyed.
Burton recorded a telephone conversation with Ryan Tyson, the Chief of Staff for State Senator Charles S. “Charlie” Dean, Sr.,  in which

Tyson may have made incriminating statements regarding DEP activities.    Sen. Dean is the Chairman of the Senate Committee on Environmental Preservation and Conservation.   Burton published his conversation with Tyson, along with other evidence of corruption, on YouTube.com.
As of Friday evening, those videos have been deleted by YouTube.
All of that apparently led to deputies and FDLE agents in tactical gear with assault rifles paying him a terrifying visit.
On Friday, January 14 around 7:30 am, Burton got a knock on his door.  Standing there was a Hamilton County sheriff’s deputy and several heavily armed FDLE agents.  They presented a warrant.  Not an arrest warrant, but a warrant to seize Burton’s computer, video camera, cell phone, and documents.
No one was arrested — they just wanted the documents and recordings Burton had made of state officials engaged in what appears to be illegal activities.
Burton’s wife, Katherine “Kathy” Scott, was in the shower at the time.  She was forced out of the bathroom.  They brought in a female agent to observe her as she dressed.
The Burtons were deeply shaken by the raid.  “I’m rattled right now.  They’ve confiscated everything,” said Burton.  “When they come to your door with assault rifles…if I had a phone or remote control in my hand at the time, there’s no telling what would’ve happened.”
In Florida, both parties must be aware that a phone conversation is being recorded in order to comply with the law.  However, when a citizen calls the Senator’s office, there is a recorded message at the beginning of the call that says, “This call may be monitored or recorded.”  Therefore, both parties would presumably be aware that the call was being recorded, complying with state law.
Florida takes pride in the “Government-in-the-Sunshine” law, which assures that dealings between the public and state government officials are open to the public, and can be copied and republished by the public at large.
“They way [the DEP Inspector General's office] has been destroying public records, we had to do something to expose what they were doing to us and to everyone in the State of Florida,” said Burton.  Burton said he has been in contact with representatives for Gov. Rick Scott’s office.
Burton says he has official documents, recordings, and other evidence proving his claims.   He says that the state has attempted to intimidate and harass him on several occasions in the past, but this is the most aggressive act toward him and his family to date.
Burton’s crusade against the Florida Department of Environmental Protection began years ago.  His investigation has led him to believe that this corruption is part of a wider, perhaps more sinister plan.
According to Burton, many of the state’s illegal activities may be an effort to fulfill a United Nations plan known as Agenda 21.
The UN Division for Sustainable Development describes Agenda 21 as a “comprehensive plan of action to be taken globally, nationally and locally by organizations of the United Nations System, Governments, and Major Groups in every area in which human impacts (sic) on the environment.”
Under Agenda 21, the UN is promoting the forceful transfer of ownership of forests and natural resources away from governments and individuals to entities which they refer to as Private-Public Partnerships (PPP).  These PPPs most commonly consist of partnerships between global corporations, universities, private foundations, and environmental groups, such as the Sierra Club.
At this time, there do not appear to be any charges against Burton, but the state has issued him a trespass warning on state-owned land.   Because of this recent raid, Burton is deeply concerned for his family’s safety.
All attempts to contact Sen. Dean for comment were unsuccessful.   Hamilton County Sheriff J. Harrell Reid did not return our call for comment.  Keith Kameg, public information officer for the FDLE, said that he had no information regarding the warrant, and that they were likely there only to assist with serving the warrant at the request of the Hamilton County Sheriff’s office.
We will have more on this story as it develops.
UPDATE (01-15-2011 15:47) 1787 Network has obtained a copy of the search warrant, and the complaintant on the warrant is Special Agent Eric Daniel of the Florida Department of Law Enforcement.
UPDATE (01-15-2011 18:30) Keith Kameg of the FDLE has now confirmed that this is an FDLE-led investigation.  Kameg said he was unable to give any additional information because the warrant executed at the Burton home is part of an ongoing investigation.  Kameg would not confirm if any charges were pending against Burton, nor would he comment on the nature of the investigation.
UPDATE (01-16-2011 22:58) We met with Bob Burton and his wife Kathy Scott to go over the remaining evidence that was not seized by the FDLE.  Unfortunately, all video evidence of the dumping of toxic materials by state employees at Suwannee River State Park was stored on the computer taken from the Burton home by the FDLE.   No other copies were available. However, they were able to provide us with a wealth of DEP and other documentation dating back to 2003 to support claims of an official investigation into impropriety by state officials, including dumping of hazardous materials into sinkholes at Suwannee River State Park.   All state employees were ultimately exonerated by the DEP Inspector General and a criminal investigation was launched against non-state employees for the dumping.
We confirmed that the justification for the search warrant was Burton’s recorded conversation with Ryan Tyson, former Chief of Staff for State Senator Dean.  The warrant reads, “the following laws have been or are being violated within said Premises:  Interception and disclosure of wire, oral, or electronic communications F.S. 934.03(1)(a)(c).”   However, neither Burton nor Scott was charged with violating this law.
In a follow up interview with Burton and Scott, they told us that the FDLE agents executing the warrant said it was highly unusual to execute a warrant for the alleged offense of recording a public official in the course of conducting business.  Burton said that the agents gave indications that the raid may have been politically motivated.
They also provided us a chilling recording of a 911 call made to the Hamilton County Sheriff’s office from Easter Sunday 2008  in which the Burton home was apparently fired upon repeatedly, allegedly by family members of a Hamilton County Commissioner.   Automatic weapons fire can be clearly heard at 57 seconds into the recording.

China Says the End of the Dollar is Near

BEIJING—Chinese President Hu Jintao emphasized the need for cooperation with the U.S. in areas from new energy to space ahead of his visit to Washington this week, but he called the present U.S. dollar-dominated currency system a "product of the past" and highlighted moves to turn the yuan into a global currency.
"We both stand to gain from a sound China-U.S. relationship, and lose from confrontation," Mr. Hu said in written answers to questions from The Wall Street Journal and the Washington Post.
Mr. Hu acknowledged "some differences and sensitive issues between us," but his tone was generally compromising, and he avoided specific mention of some of the controversial issues that have dogged relations with the U.S. over the past year or so—including U.S. arms sales to Taiwan that led to a freeze in military relations between the world's sole superpower and its rising Asian rival..

On the economic front, Mr. Hu played down one of the main U.S. arguments for why China should appreciate its currency—that it will help China tame inflation. That is likely to disappoint Washington, which accuses China of unfairly boosting its exports by undervaluing the yuan, making its products cheaper overseas. The topic is expected to be high on U.S. President Barack Obama's agenda when he meets Mr. Hu at the White House on Wednesday.
Mr. Hu also offered a veiled criticism of efforts by the U.S. Federal Reserve to stimulate growth through huge bond purchases to keep down long-term interest rates, a strategy that China has loudly complained about in the past as fueling inflation in emerging economies, including its own. He said that U.S. monetary policy "has a major impact on global liquidity and capital flows and therefore, the liquidity of the U.S. dollar should be kept at a reasonable and stable level."

Mr. Hu's responses reflect a China that has grown more confident in recent years—especially in the wake of the global financial crisis, from which it emerged relatively unscathed.

Mr. Hu reiterated China's belief that the crisis reflected "the absence of regulation in financial innovation" and the failure of international financial institutions "to fully reflect the changing status of developing countries in the world economy and finance." He called for an international financial system that is more "fair, just, inclusive and well-managed."
Mr. Hu, who also heads China's ruling Communist Party, rarely interacts with the international media. The Wall Street Journal submitted a series of questions to China's Foreign Ministry for Mr. Hu to answer. The Washington Post also submitted questions. The Foreign Ministry supplied Mr. Hu's responses to seven questions—but did not address questions about imprisoned Nobel Peace Prize winner Liu Xiaobo, China's growing naval power and complaints about alleged Chinese cyberattacks, among others.
Mr. Hu's veiled criticism of the Fed reflects widespread feelings among developing nations that U.S. interest-rate policy is devaluing the dollar, prompting flows of capital overseas and creating inflation elsewhere. China and other developing countries would like the Fed to factor in those consequences when it makes decisions. Fed officials counter that their mandate is to bolster the U.S. economy and that a stronger U.S. economy is in the interests of China and other countries, which depend heavily on trade and investment from the U.S.
This could be a major issue of contention between Messrs. Hu and Obama. The U.S. blames Chinese currency undervaluation—not Fed policy making—for worsening competitive and inflation problems overseas.

"This is a new ballgame in the first inning," says Eurasia Group's Ian Bremmer about China's rise. In an interview with WSJ's Rebecca Blumenstein, Bremmer discusses the growth of Chinese economic and military power and President Hu's U.S.visit.

Some of Mr. Hu's most significant comments dealt with the future of the dollar and currency exchange rates.
"The current international currency system is the product of the past," he said, noting the primacy of the U.S. dollar as a reserve currency and its use in international trade and investment.
The comment is the latest sign that the dollar's future continues to concern the most senior levels of the Chinese government. Beijing fears not only that loose U.S. monetary policy is fueling inflation, but that it will erode the value of China's holdings of dollars within its vast foreign-exchange reserves, which reached $2.85 trillion at the end of 2010.
China's central bank governor, Zhou Xiaochuan, created an international stir in March 2009 by calling for the creation of a new synthetic reserve currency as an alternative to the dollar. Mr. Hu's comments add to the sense that China intends to challenge the post-World War II financial order largely created by the U.S. and dominated by the dollar.
Mr. Hu called attention to China's accelerating effort to expand the role of its own currency, describing recent moves to allow greater use of the yuan in cross-border trade and investment—while acknowledging that making it a fully fledged international currency "will be a fairly long process."
China's moves already have spawned a thriving market for offshore trading of yuan in Hong Kong, and are widely seen as first steps toward making the yuan an international currency in line with China's new prominence as the world's second largest economy. Mr. Hu offered an enthusiastic endorsement of what are officially described as currency "pilot programs." They "fit in well with market demand as evidenced by the rapidly expanding scale of these transactions," he said.
Mr. Hu didn't signal any changes on the most sensitive aspect of China's currency policy: the exchange rate.

Last week, U.S. Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner reiterated the U.S. position that a stronger yuan is in China's own best interests, because it would help tame rising inflation that has become a key risk to China's rapid growth, which is underpinning the global economic recovery. A stronger yuan would reduce the price of imports in local-currency terms.
But Mr. Hu shrugged off the U.S. argument, saying that China is fighting inflation with a whole package of policies, including interest-rate increases, and "inflation can hardly be the main factor in determining the exchange rate policy."
Further, Mr. Hu suggested that inflation was not a big worry, saying prices were "on the whole moderate and controllable." He added: "We have the confidence, conditions and ability to stabilize the overall price level."
The U.S. argues that the yuan's real exchange rate—that is, the exchange rate as adjusted for the higher inflation level in China than the U.S.—is rising at a 10% annual rate. Treasury officials have argued to China that its policy options are limited—either it can boost the exchange rate to fight inflation, or inflation will effectively boost the value of China's currency.
While the U.S. says some Chinese economic officials buy that argument, it hasn't been widely adopted within China, as Mr. Hu's comments illustrate. But the U.S. feels that economics and time are on its side. Even so, the administration and Congress will continue to press China to boost the pace of its currency appreciation.

Possible extra FBI, DHS scrutiny for refusing bag search

A person who refuses a bag search at transit police checkpoints in the Washington, DC, subway system and walks away could come under further observation by Federal Bureau of Investigation or Department of Homeland Security agents once outside the rail system, said a civil rights activist group.
The group, the Montgomery County Civil Rights Coalition, posted transcripts from an early January meeting about the searches. The meeting, between Washington Metropolitan Area Transportation Authority (WMATA) Riders Advisory Council (RAC), transit officials and the public, was a forum on concerns about the searches.
Montgomery County Civil Rights Coalition vehemently opposes them on Fourth Amendment grounds.
At the meeting, according to the coalition, the chief of the subway’s police force said a person who refuses a bag search and exits a station could face closer watch by other law enforcement agencies. “Well I can tell you without any uncertainty that that person would be observed.  And what that means to you is different than what it means to me, but that person would be observed,” said Metro Transit Police Chief Taborn in the transcripts posted on the Web site.
 During the Jan. 4 meeting, coalition members questioned Taborn in detail about how people who refused the search then exited the station might be handled, whether their names would be taken, or photographs made of them.
“No photographs taken, it may be simply an observation,” said Taborn in the transcript. “At some point in time, as we work with the FBI and as we work with the Department of Homeland Security, we establish why,” said.
The group also speculated in a Jan. 18 blog post that Metro Transit Police could enlist FBI and DHS agents in the extra scrutiny because they don’t have jurisdiction outside the rail system. “Actually, given that the screenings take place before people pass the turnstiles, bag search refusers might quickly leave the jurisdiction of Metro Transit Police, who may not (yet) have authority to pursue or investigate bag search refusers either overtly or covertly,” said coalition blogger Thomas Nephew the Web site.  “That may be one reason TSA personnel are involved, and why Taborn mentioned FBI and Homeland Security…”

The flags along Constitution Avenue tell you everything you need to know – America has been sold out and our new Chinese slavemasters are now leading the sheep to slaughter. Even as Barack Obama bows and fawns to President Hu Jintao, the globalists for whom he fronts are sharpening the knives and preparing to unleash the bloodletting as the dying carcass of America is dragged into line to facilitate the global management of the planet.

Not satisfied with a hemorrhaging trade deficit with China that continues to bleed American jobs at a rate of millions, a crumbling manufacturing base being replaced by the endless import of cheap slave goods from the Communist state, and a stunted economy being rapidly outpaced by the Red Dragon, the Obama administration wanted to further drill it in to Americans who the new boss is yesterday, by placing Chinese flags throughout Washington DC before Obama’s fawning meeting with unelected President Hu Jintao.
Everyone is painfully aware of the fact that China now owns the United States economically, with the Chinese central bank being the largest debt holder at approaching $1 trillion dollars. The average American family with two children collectively owes around $12,000 dollars to China. The Communist state’s ownership of long term U.S. Treasury Securities means the United States pays upwards of $100 million dollars a day to China in terms of interest alone.
China’s huge accumulation of US dollars gives it the sway to lead the United States by the nose like a sheep to slaughter, holding in its hands the power to decide the economic destiny of the now collapsing American empire. The culmination of this process moved a step closer this week when Hu Jintao made it clear that China was preparing to sharpen the knife for the bloodletting to begin, by deriding the dollar as a “product of the past” and signaling its replacement with a new global monetary system based around the Chinese yuan.
This transition is only becoming more obvious with the continuing fire sale of crucial infrastructure to the Red Dragon.

The figures don’t lie – after a 20 year process of gradual sellout overseen by Clinton, Bush and now Obama – China owns America.
However, to have that notion aggressively reinforced by the plethora of Chinese flags that invaded DC this week goes beyond mere pomp and ceremony. This is meant to send a message to Americans that the United States is being hollowed out and swallowed up by the globalists, and that the center of the new world order empire will be transferred to Communist China in a bloodless coup.
And at the center of it all is a fawning, obedient, bowing Barack Obama, who ironically in the same week as Martin Luther King was remembered, played his role diligently as the house slave for his globalist masters, lavishing Jintao with a private dinner in a stunt that the Associated Press admits was designed to “soften the American public’s suspicions about China,” a nation that detains and tortures individuals for exercising their rights to freedom of association, freedom of religion and freedom of expression, while abducting, beating and performing forced abortions on women who refuse to submit to the country’s brutal one child policy.
The sickening worship and fealty displayed towards Jintao and China this week is all about training Americans to recognize who their new slavemasters are – the globalists who have exalted the Communist state as a model country for the new world order – a world in which antiquated ideas about freedom of the individual, prosperity, self-determination, family and happiness will be abolished.

Mass Animal Deaths Continue: Hundreds Of Cows, Seals Found Dead

Concerns over mass animal deaths continue to mount with the news that around 200 cows have mysteriously been found dead in Wisconsin, as well as hundreds of seals washing ashore dead in Labrador, Canada.



The cows were reportedly killed by a mystery infection, with officials still unable to identify the exact cause after samples were sent to laboratories in Madison for analysis.
According to reports, the owner of the cattle told sheriff’s deputies he suspects the cows succumbed to IBR (infectious bovine rhinotracheitis) or BVD (bovine virus diarrhea). Both diseases can cause respiratory and reproductive problems.
In a separate case, residents on the north coast of Labrador have reported seeing large numbers of dead seals washing up on beaches.
The Canadian Department of Fisheries and Oceans (DFO) is testing the carcasses. A working theory is that the area’s seal population has grown too large, resulting in a higher mortality rate.
In both cases scientists believe there are rational explanations, however, with so many other examples of mysterious mass animal deaths within the last few weeks, questions will once again be raised as to whether the cases are in any way linked.

Since the turn of the new year, mass bird die offs have been reported in Arkansas, Alabama, Kentucky, Louisiana, North Carolina, Texas and Florida
mass deaths of Fish and crabs have also been reported.
Unexplained animal deaths have also been reported in Ontario, Canada, Italy, Brazil, Sweden, The Philippines, Great Britain, Haiti, Australia and New Zealand.
The number of different cases of dead birds and fish around the U.S. and globally has been matched by the myriad of different explanations as to the cause of their demise.
The more mundane causes are cited as fireworks, localized hail, power lines, or other temporary phenomena that caused the birds to panic and fly into one another. However, this doesn’t explain why similar events are occurring in different areas of the country or indeed the world and it doesn’t address the issue of mass deaths of other animals.
As we have documented, the primary suspects should always be governments given the fact that they have routinely engaged in secret testing of biological and electromagnetic weapons that have detrimentally impacted both humans and animals many times in the past.
Birds falling dead out of the sky, and fish washing up dead on shores and rivers across North America and around the world, have so far largely been passed off in the mainstream media as unexplained isolated acts of nature. With deaths of larger animals now in the frame, the phenomenon may be investigated more vigorously.
